One New Mazak Replaced Five Machines

I have been a member of Machinery Systems for over 22 years, and have been involved in all facets of manufacturing, including management, cutting tool sales, applications, and machine tool sales. I try to get to know my customers from both a business perspective, as well as on a personal level. My philosophy regarding customers is that its all about pulling from my knowledge base, providing the customer with the right solution, developing their trust, and delivering what I promised.

A recent machine tool installation at Guhring Inc., Brookfield WI of a new Mazak SQT200MY has resulted in higher quality soft metal blanks for their PCD and carbide tool division. "We were able to replace five older CNC and manual machines with just one new Mazak SQT200MY," said Fred Langer Director of Plant/Facilities Engineering. "Now we're able to complete our soft metal blanks in just one operation. We also freed up over 1500 sq. ft of valuable floor space which has allowed us to expand our PCD division, reduce our lead times, and increase our overall throughput."
