Blaser Recognizes MT&S as Top Distributor |

By Ron "Andy" Anderson MT&S Manager of Fluids & Filtration The Blaser Distributor 2003 "Top Ten List" has been released. I am very pleased to announce that due to the hard work of everyone, Machinery Tooling & Supply was #1 in Jet Mix sales for 2003. The Jet Mix is an important part of our success with the Blaser products we represent. It is easy to use, saves time and money, and ensures that the Blaser coolant concentrate is mixed properly. Blaser places high value on Jet Mix sales to determine how a distributor is growing and expanding his or her customer base. I am extremely proud of the fact that during a down economy (2000-2003) we were able to sell the more Jet Mixes than any other distributor. This is a tribute to the hard work of all our outside sales people, our inside customer service representatives, and the cooperation of our Blaser sales representative, Mr. Peter Mrzlak. For us to be #1 was not an accident, MT&S puts forth great effort in planning and forecasting individual target accounts with each outside sales person. What is most gratifying to me is that we have been a Blaser Distributor for many years and still find new customers. Often a new Blaser Distributor will make the list the first few years and then drop off. Again, kudos to the MT&S personnel. Last month I had the privilege of attending the Blaser "BISS 04" seminar in Hasle-Rugsau, Switzerland. I was able to network with many other Blaser Distributors from all over the world. I spoke with Mr. Bruce Lowry, President of Cutting Tool Control, Inc. Bruce is a Blaser Distributor like Machinery Tooling & Supply. Cutting Tool Control has been a distributor for 18+ years in Seattle, WA and Portland, OR. Bruce feels so strongly about the importance of the Jet Mix. They send a every new coolant customer a Jet Mix with their first drum. They are allowed to use it for 30 days, at which time they are contacted for a purchase order and billed for the Jet Mix. Bruce said that 95% of the time he gets a purchase order for the Jet Mix. MT&S has been in the top five of the "1000 Drum Club" for the past three years. In 2003 we were #3 with 1727 drums sold. This number speaks for the number of satisfied customers in IL, WI and IN. We look forward to the remainder of 2004 and have expectations of breaking the 2000 drum a year level by years end. |
