A great example is a complicated aerospace part that required six setups on a Haas 5-axis, 32 tool, vertical machining center. Believe it or not, that part cost us 120 hours of set-up. Now we run the part in a Mazak Palletech cell with Variaxis, 120 tool machines in only one set-up requiring five hours. Since we load the part only once, the quality is much better.
