On October 1, 2003, Ron was appointed President & COO.  Prior to this date he was CFO and Sr. Vice President in charge of Business Operations with many diverse responsibilities.  Within Machinery Systems, he oversees Systems Financial Credit and Manufacturing Software and interacts with all business units.  Ron is also responsible for MSI’s service providers in the areas of banking, legal and our accounting firm. In addition Ron takes care of Machinery Systems' facilities, provides the direction of the Accounting and Support functions and manages MSI’s joint venture relationships.  Ron is a member of MSI’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors.

Ron joined MSI as a Senior Applications Engineer in 1988, and was promoted to General Manager in 1990.  He was appointed to the Executive Committee in January, 1993.  Prior to joining MSI, Ron was the Industrial Engineering Manager for Sealol Inc., a division of EG&G, a Fortune 500 Corporation.  He was employed by Sealol for 11 years, bringing a strong base of manufacturing experience to MSI.

Ron completed his undergraduate studies at the Illinois Institute of Technology, earning a bachelor's degree in Industrial Management.  He earned a Masters of Management degree from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, majoring in both marketing and finance.  Ron and his wife, Joyce, reside in Marengo, Illinois.
